  1. Would it be possible to order prepared food for 6 people for TAKE OUT on Christmas? I love the catering menus you have, or would be happy with a turkey dinner if you’re doing it. Or is ordering a la carte the only option?

    Thank you!

    1. Hi Lisa,
We will have our Take Out Menu up shortly (by end of day) and you can order on line. The menu is a la carte with plenty of options of the Main Feature: Fried Turkey, Oven-Roast Turkey or Traditional Oven Roasted Ham.
We offer Soup, Gumbo, Sides and fabulous desserts. So please visit us later this evening. Thank You!

  2. I have reservations for Thanksgiving. I would love to know what is on the menu for that day. Also will the jazz band be playing that day?

  3. My wife and I would like to thank Chef Langermann and the entire Georgia Brown’s staff for an absolutely wonderful lunch last week. We stopped by for lunch on Saturday 11/16/18. We were fortunate enough to be seated at a table by 3 southern belles who not only shared their stories with us, but also their meals. They told us the moment we sat down, what a great restaurant Georgia Browns was because of the chef and the staff. They proceeded to let us know what their menu items of choice were for each of them. Chef Langermann arrived at the table talking with the ladies sharing something special he had made in the back for them. He was genuinely engaged not only with them, but also with the 2 of us.

I ordered the Charleston Perlau, while my wife ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with a side of grits at the urging of our new found friends at the table beside us. Oh my goodness were they ever right to make that recommendation. Every bite of the grits took me back to being a kid again at home in the Low Country of South Carolina. The Perlau was beyond words, as different flavors from the dish exploded across my tongue, mingling together to make each single bite delicious. Naturally, my wife and I shared our meals with one another, which resulted in me realizing that Chef Langermann must have stolen my Momma’s chicken gravy recipe, as I could taste the drippings (fond) from the bottom of the cast iron frying pan; simply delicious.

We finished our meal off by sharing the Peach Cobbler a La Mode, and the Sweet Potato Cheesecake. As if we were not already absolutely hooked on the food and service of Georgia Browns, we were drawn into another level of happiness with the fact that we have found a restaurant that we know without a doubt we will be frequenting often. We made our reservations for Christmas before our departure. While we wish we had knowledge of the 3 ladies names that we met, we expect that we may run into them again in the future as we will be Georgia Browns loyalist from this moment on as well. Looking forward for family and friends to visit us here, so that we can share Georgia Browns with them as well.

This was undoubtedly the best lunch experience we have had in the Washington DC area without hesitation.

    Cheers,
    David & Wendy
